it was rare for you to wake up without wonwoo at your side. most of the time, all it took was you hearing your daughter stirring on the baby monitor for you to wake up and instinctively go to her. when you read that whole spiel from some mommy blogger online, you’d sort-of laughed it off. but over the past eleven months, you’d realized that it was true for you at least. you’d wake up, hearing something in the way she’d breathe in, and know that she was awake and likely needing to be fed. so you’d untangle yourself from your loving husband’s arms (and suppress a smile when he stirred, reaching for you for a moment before settling back into sleep) and go to her. which meant most of the time, if he woke up in the middle of the night, it was you who was missing.
